Why Should Businesses Care?

  • Improving Academic Outcomes and Future Workforce Readiness
Research shows that students who feel a strong sense of belonging in their school environments are more likely to succeed academically. By supporting efforts that help students, businesses can foster an environment where students are better prepared for future educational and career success. These students will eventually become the future workforce, equipped with the confidence and skills necessary to thrive in diverse professional settings.

  • Community Investment and Social Responsibility
San Francisco’s vibrant business community thrives on the success of its local residents. Supporting education through initiatives like the Together for Schools Fund demonstrates a commitment to corporate social responsibility. It sends a clear message that businesses care about the well-being of the community, which fosters customer loyalty and enhances a brand’s image as a force for good.

  • Building a Stronger, More Inclusive Economy
Students who feel supported are less likely to experience academic setbacks, helping them stay on course for future success. By contributing to the well-being of these students, businesses are helping to level the playing field for families most affected by school closures. This, in turn, builds a more equitable educational system, where all students have an opportunity to thrive—ultimately contributing to a more inclusive and resilient local economy.

Every day, nearly 50,000 SFUSD students show up at school, ready to learn and grow. They need and deserve access to the resources that enable them to reach their full potential.  Join us today.
